Bishop scores two, Greenhawks mount comeback to beat the wheels off Cavemen

Warners Bay, Australia – Steven Bishop scored two goals and added two assists as the Greenhawks erased a four-goal deficit and extended its winning streak to three games with a 6-1 pounding over the Cavemen at Hunter Ice Skating Stadium on Tuesday.

Rounding out the scoring for the Greenhawks was Mathen Michalitsis and Daniel Thompson, Liam Osborn and Nathan Adams chipping in with a goal each. Michalitsis, Connor Mason. Goaltender Eric St Cyr turned aside 21 shots for the Greenhawks in the win.

Scoring the single strike for the Cavemen was and Dave Goodwin, his seventh of the season. Goaltender Chris Priestley made 21 saves in the loss for the Cavemen.

The Cavemen jumped out to a 4-0 lead when Goodwin scored his seventh of the season with 12:05 left in the first period but Player responded for the Greenhawks with his third of the season to start the rally.

With the win, the Greenhawks improve to 7-1-1-0 while the Cavemen fall to 4-4-1-0.
