Warners Bay, Australia – Alastair Crouch scored two goals and added an assist for the Jr Astros and Hamish Colquhoun scored a hat-trick and added an assist for the Jr Sonics as the teams battled to a 6-6 tie at Hunter Ice Skating Stadium on Saturday.

Also scoring for the Jr Sonics was Xavier Byrnes, Kimi Sullivan and Jensen Robinson each adding a goal. Byrnes added three assists. Goaltender Laila McKenzie (G) made nine saves in the tie for the Jr Sonics.

Also scoring for the Jr Astros was , Monique Sheffield, Oliver Gintings and Aiden MacIntosh each adding single goals. Gintings added two assists. Goaltender Tanisha Brown (G) made 20 saves in the tie for the Jr Astros.

After the tie, the Jr Astros have a record of 1-1-2-0 while the Jr Sonics move to 2-1-1-0.
