Warners Bay, Australia – Jason Polglase turned aside all 13 shots he faced and Matt Smith scored two goals to help the Galaxy to a 5-0 spanking over the Sonics at Hunter Ice Skating Stadium on Monday.

Also scoring for the Galaxy was Rhys Millington and Sam Lammert - X and Mitch Hedt with a goal each.

Goaltender Ethan Spelde made 17 saves in the loss for the Sonics.

With the win, the Galaxy improve to 1-3-2-0 while the Sonics fall to 2-4-0-0.
